How To Wear Bright Blush
Posted on September 26 2017
Pops of color are big for fall, and what better way to add some brightness to your look than with a bold blush?
It might seem like an intimidating product to experiment with, but blush is definitely easier to master than you think. The key is getting both the shade and the placement right – generally speaking, pink or peach shades are best for fair skin, while everyone else can pretty much pull off anything. The best part: Aside from giving you a vibrant flush, bright blush will make you look younger and more awake.
Follow the steps below to get the look.
- Apply foundation as normal to create an even base.
- For a look with major punch, choose a cream blush like our Dahlia Multi Pot or one of our bold Lip & Cheek Creams. If you want something slightly more muted, opt for a powder blush like our Vibrant Pink, Apricot, Sunset, or Nymph.
- Use your fingers or a brush to apply product on the apples of your cheeks and blend upwards to your temple for a graduated fade – stop at the outer corner of your eyebrows. Build slowly until you achieve your desired intensity. For maximum brightness and lift, use a cream blush first and follow up with a powder blush to set it in place.
