One of our favorite seasons of the year has finally arrived—fall makeup season—and with it come several trends (from fresh and natural to bold and bright) that will have you picking up those products and having a little beauty fun, whether you’re going out or staying home.
Scroll down for five fall trends to try out ASAP and the products you need to nail them.
Glazed Everything
Dewy skin isn’t just for summer—the glazed, clean girl makeup look is in year round. This fall, set aside your matte, full coverage foundation and reach for all things moisturizing to let your natural skin shine (literally). The trick to achieving that Instagram-worthy sheen? Simply mix our hydrating and illuminating Face Primer with your liquid foundation, using a 60 to 40 ratio of primer to foundation and apply it to your skin as you normally would.
Shop it: Hydrating Cream, Face Primer, Moisturizing Liquid Foundation
Graphic Black Liner
It’s no secret that graphic liner has been having a moment, but this autumn it’s back to black. Whether you opt for something more smudged and grunge-esque or clean and modern, it’s all about drawing attention to your eyes. Want some extra edge? Add a pop of bold color to your inner eyes in a shade like sapphire, vibrant peach or metallic gold.
Shop it: Precision Liquid Liner in Raven, Classic Eyeliner in Black, Mineral Eyeshadow in Ice Princess, Egyptian Gold or Graffiti
Blush Strobing
You may have heard of strobing, but this season there’s a new twist. Apply a bright shade of powder or cream blush ~before~ putting on foundation, taking it all the way from the outer apples of your cheeks to the under-eye area. After it sets, sweep your foundation or concealer over the top and blend it to create a super flushed, fresh look.
Shop it: Powder Blush in Vibrant Pink, Mineral Blush in Sunset, Multi Pot in Conch
Blurred Metallic Lids
Ethereal eye makeup in soft, frosty shades is this fall’s smokey eye. Think cool, shimmering shades of silver, baby pink, and lavender applied in watercolor (almost see-through) washes across the eyelid—you can even go the extra mile and add a few crystal decals to really bring the metallic trend home.
Shop it: Mineral Eyeshadow in Angel, Platinum, Frostbite or Prism
Vinyl Lips
Go glossy with lacquered, high-shine vinyl lips this season—think see your reflection in them shiny. This trend is super easy to try because all you need is a clear gloss to apply on top of your favorite lipstick shade. What colors do we love to wear underneath? Anything goes. Try something bold like a gradient red (with a brighter red shade in the center and a darker red shade on the outside) or swipe on a neutral shade like a warm brown or pink-nude for something more subtle.
