Posted on January 30 2019
Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, and whether you’re in a relationship, single, or otherwise, it’s definitely a fun excuse to try out a bold new beauty look. Enter red and pink, the holiday’s signature shades. From two-tone lips to high contrast nails, we’ve rounded up our favorite ways to wear the pair of colors for the yearly celebration of love.
Scroll down to check them out.
Pink Eyes + Red Lips. Pair a soft pink eyeshadow like Bisque (a matte) or Platinum (a shimmer) with a classic scarlet lipstick—try Pomegranate or Starlet—for maximum impact.
Monochrome Pink. Play up your eyes and lips in the same rosy hue—apply our Soft Berry Lipstick to your pout and swipe our eyeshadow in Showgirl (a dusty matte rose), Punch (a satin rose with golden flecks), or Bubblegum (a deep matte rose) on your peepers.
Two-Tone Pout. There’s no reason to choose between red and pink lips—choose complimentary shades of red and pink (like Pomegranate and Mauve or Starlet and Dollhouse Pink or Poppy and Flamingo)—and apply one to your top lip and the second to your bottom lip. Use a flat brush and apply a thin line of the top lip’s color at the center of your mouth along your lower lip, blending down slightly to create a subtle gradient where the two shades meet.
Red Eyes + Pink Lips. Go for the bold and rock red eyeshadow—wear Vamp (a matte brick red)—and match it with pale pink on your pout—Lip Color in Truth or Dare (a cool soft pink) or Sheer Gloss in Divinity (a sheer iridescent pink).
Contrasting Nails. Paint on our nail polish in Classic Red or Lovestruck and pair it with a shade of pink from pastel to fuchsia—Rose Quartz, Bloom, Pink Lady, Daiquiri, or Passion are all pretty options for an accent nail or subtle nail art.
Flushed Cheeks + Glossy Lips. For a more wearable option, blend our Powder Blush in Vibrant Pink or Mineral Blush in Nymph down your cheekbones to the apples of your cheeks—add a few layers of our Sheer Gloss in Caliente to your pout and you’re good to go.
