How To Do Your Makeup Super Fast

Need to speed up your morning routine? While doing a five-minute face isn’t a major feat for everyone, some of us spend that long JUST doing our brows. But the good news is, you can still look totally put together when you’re on a tight schedule (or when you hit snooze one too many times!).

Let’s face it—having time to get an iced coffee is definitely worth the routine speed-up. Get out the door more quickly with the tricks below.

Stay organized. A five-minute face is doable, but only if you keep your products organized. Knowing exactly where everything is stored can often cut your time in half.

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. Your plan of attack should be to give your skin a glowing appearance by applying a nourishing and protective Moisturizer. This ensures that your makeup will sit evenly and won't appear cakey or haphazard.

Skip the foundation. Opt for Concealer instead—it will provide extra coverage in any problem areas and is easier and quicker to apply. Swipe it under your eyes to make them look more awake, and then over any blemishes or red spots. Simply blend and you’re good to go.

Stick to the basics. Sorry, cat-eye addicts, but you need to pass on the liquid liner. Unless you can hold a very steady hand under pressure, choose a more forgiving Eyeliner pencil that you can blend out. Don’t worry about making it too perfect—let it blur and smudge a bit for a cool effect. On your eyebrows, create quick shape by brushing on some Clear Mascara or use a Cream Brow Pencil if your fullness is lacking, and finish with a few swipes of Mascara on your lashes.

Choose multi-tasking products. If you try to do too much, it will end up looking sloppy and rushed. Instead, pick a product that does double duty—or even triple duty—like or our Multi Pot.

Accentuate your best features. Don’t waste time trying to hide your problem areas. Play up your best features, like your eyes or lips, and draw attention to them. When it comes down to it, perfectly shadowed eyes or a bold lip always appear pulled together.
