Creating a killer makeup look for Halloween doesn’t have to be scary—check out three easy options here—but what can be frightening? The day-after havoc that heavy makeup, glitter, and face paint can wreak on your skin.
But never fear! Follow the four steps to removing intense makeup the right way below, and you can Halloween to your heart’s content without waking up to skin that was scarier than your costume the night before.
Start with makeup wipes
To start the removal process, grab a pack of our Cosmetic Wipes—use these to remove the majority of the product on your face. They won’t completely clear away all of your makeup, but they will break down the tough layers and make everything left easier to wash off.
Utilize makeup remover
If you have a significant amount of product left on your face after using a few wipes, apply our Sea Fennel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover to a cotton ball and clear away the remainder.
Do a deep cleanse
Apply your favorite cleanser (try our White Seaweed Calming Cleanser) using dry hands and massage it into your skin. Let it sit on your face for 60 seconds or so, and then rinse it off with warm water. Repeat and cleanse again with a gentle exfoliator—like our Red Seaweed Exfoliator—if necessary.
