While skin tones can range from very fair to very deep in color, your undertone refers to the natural colors underneath the surface of your skin and falls under the category of either warm, neutral, or cool. And although your skin tone may change throughout the year—getting a shade or two deeper in the summer or possibly a shade or two lighter in the winter—your undertone never changes.
