Multi-Masking: What It Is and How To Do It

Meet your new trick for perfect skin: multi-masking.

Simply put, this intriguing skincare trend is when you use or layer multiple facial masks on your face simultaneously with the goal of combating all of your complexion concerns at once. Because let’s face it – our skin is totally inconsistent. And while the process might look slightly ridiculous, it’s definitely worth the #flawless results. How did we not think of this before?

We break down our favorite combo below.

Purify: T-Zone

Opt for a mask that will eliminate pore-clogging substances and clear up any breakouts in this area, like our Sea Clay Purifying Mud Mask. The mineral-rich clay formula cleanses and purifies by absorbing surface impurities and excess sebum, leaving you fresh and oil free. The addition of other natural ingredients – including seaweed, sea kelp, and aloe vera – help to smooth, soothe, and provide humectants and anti-irritants that heal your skin.

Firm: Under Eyes

Depending on your skin type or the concerns you’re attempting to combat, we recommend using two or three of our Sheet Masks (made of plant based fiber that is compostable and biodegradable) in a weekly rotation to treat this delicate part of your face. Our Anti-Aging Mask helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, our Hydrating Mask seals in moisture and improves elasticity, and our Skin Brightening Mask energizes and gently exfoliates.

Hydrate: Cheeks & Neck

This area is all about hydration, hydration, and more hydration. Choose a mask that promotes elasticity in the skin, like our Seaweed Hydrating Mask. It contains an active formula of blue green algae, amino acids, and plant extracts that are precisely blended to provide just the amount of hydration and resiliency needed for all skin types. Vitamin E and aloe vera help to soothe and heal minor irritations, which also calms the effects of excessive sun exposure.
