3 Winter Makeup Trends To Try Now
Posted on January 15 2019

Winter beauty might be our favorite. Why? Because there’s minimal risk of our makeup sweating or melting off—plus, it’s the best time to experiment with darker and deeper tones and textures that don’t often work in spring and summer. Since we’re currently in the thick of the year’s coldest season, we rounded up our favorite winter makeup trends for you to try right now.
Cobalt Eyes. Think of this as a winter-inspired twist on the traditional smokey eye. Combine shades of blue on your peepers for a cool look—start by lining your eyes with our Eyeliner in Navy and follow up by applying our Eyeshadow in Ice Princess or Sapphire to your entire lid. Finish by layering on Skylar to add more depth and an extra touch of sparkle.
Blurred Lips. Start by selecting a matte lipstick in a red or berry shade, like Rapture, Meritage or Galaxy. For extra staying power, begin by using our Lip Primer. Apply your chosen lipstick as usual and then blur it by taking a Q-tip and smudging around the lip line. Playful and of-the-moment pout, easily achieved.
Mixed Metallics. Contrasting eyes are in, and our favoring combo is glimmering charcoal and gold. Create a full wash of color on your lid with our Eyeshadow in Gem and press our Eyeshadow in Egyptian Gold onto the center of your lid and add a small touch of it to the inner corner of your eyes. Maximize the impact by keeping the rest of your look clean and neutral.
